Privacy

This Privacy Policy explains how CamgirlsBook ("we," "us," or "the site"), available at https://camgirlsbook.com, handles information about the people who visit it. Please read it carefully. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

Adults only

CamgirlsBook publishes writing about the adult live streaming industry, including model reviews. The site is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their location, whichever is higher. It is not directed at anyone under that age, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you are under 18, please leave now.

Who runs this site

CamgirlsBook is a blog. It does not offer accounts, memberships, subscriptions, paywalls, or logins of any kind. You cannot register, create a profile, or sign in, because there is nothing to sign in to. We do not sell products or process payments on the site.

Because of that, we collect far less information than a typical membership site would. Most of what we describe below is the ordinary, largely automatic data that almost every website receives, plus the analytics we use to understand how the site is doing.

Information we collect

Information you choose to give us.
If you email us or use a contact form, we receive whatever you send: your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. We use that only to reply to you and to keep a record of the exchange. You are never required to contact us to read the site.

Information collected automatically.
When you load a page, our hosting and server software may record standard technical details in log files. These typically include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the site you came from. This kind of logging is common across the web and is used for running the site, spotting errors, and guarding against abuse and security threats.

Analytics information.
We use analytics tools to see how visitors find and use the site, for example which articles get read, how long people stay, and roughly where in the world traffic comes from. This is described in more detail in the next section.

We do not ask you for sensitive personal information, and please do not send it to us.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. We may use cookies and similar technologies, mainly to make the site work properly and to gather anonymous analytics.

Broadly, the cookies in use fall into two groups. The first is basic operational cookies that help pages load correctly and remember simple preferences. The second is analytics cookies, which help us count visits and understand behavior in aggregate. Any advertising partners we work with, if we run ads, may also set their own cookies, as explained under "Advertising" below.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones, or warn you before a cookie is stored. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site behave. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, usually through a banner when you first arrive.

Google Analytics and other analytics providers

We may use Google Analytics, or a comparable analytics service, to measure and study traffic. Analytics providers use cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as your approximate location (from your IP address), your device and browser, the pages you visit, and how you move through the site. This information is combined with data from other visitors, so what we see is a picture of overall trends rather than a file on you as an individual.

Where the service supports it, we enable IP anonymization so that your full IP address is not stored by the analytics provider. Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can read at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google also offers a browser add-on that lets you opt out of Google Analytics across all sites; it is available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

If we switch to or add a different analytics provider, such as a privacy-focused option that does not use cookies, we will update this policy to name it.

Advertising

CamgirlsBook may display advertising, including ads served by third-party networks. If it does, those networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and to measure how ads perform. We do not control the data practices of advertising partners, and their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. Any advertising we run is intended for an adult audience only.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

serve the pages you request and keep the site running; understand which content people find useful, so we can plan future articles; keep the site secure and investigate problems, abuse, or misuse; respond to messages you send us; and meet legal and regulatory obligations where they apply.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not try to identify individual readers from analytics data.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:

with service providers who help us operate the site, such as our hosting company, analytics provider, and any advertising or content delivery partners, and only so they can perform their function; when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property; and if the site is ever transferred to new ownership, in which case any data would pass to the new owner under the same commitments made here.

Each third party we work with handles data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read the policies of the analytics and advertising providers named or referenced above.

Links to other websites

CamgirlsBook reviews and writes about the adult live streaming industry, and our articles link to external platforms, cam sites, model profiles, and other third-party pages. Once you follow a link away from our site, we no longer control that destination and are not responsible for its content, its age checks, or how it handles your data. Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms, which you should read before using them or sharing any information with them.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as we reasonably need it. Server logs are typically kept for a short period and then rotated out or deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the settings and defaults of our analytics provider. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for our own records, and then removed.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the information a site holds about you. These can include the right to ask what we hold, to request a copy, to have information corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent you previously gave.

For visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and similar regions, these rights come from laws such as the GDPR. For residents of California, the CCPA and CPRA give comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; note that we do not sell personal information as those laws define the term. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time the law allows.

You can also limit data collection directly: adjust your browser's cookie settings, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or enable your browser's tracking controls.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not currently change our behavior based on that signal. You can still manage tracking through the cookie and analytics options described above.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we handle. That said, no website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. You use the site at your own risk.

International visitors

The site may be hosted and operated in a country different from your own. If you visit from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the country where our servers and service providers are located, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. By using the site, you understand that your information may be handled in this way.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the tools we use or the law. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top. Significant changes may be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use CamgirlsBook after an update means you accept the revised policy.
